I have some family history. What I'm most curious about is what tribe my great grandfather was from. Research in that area would be fun, and could be very hard detective work.

Texpeggy, do you have any informaton on where they lived prior to reservation life? Many escaped the Jackson extinction attempt and did not go west. They are the most difficult to find. Not sure where...

My son finally found some reference to our's on the Dawes Roll........but during that time, a lot of them wouldn't register as being any part Indian, and quite a few passed themselves off as Black...
